Important message about our 2008 season from the staff of the Minibeast Zooseum:

Due to a whopping 600% increase in our commitments as educational consultants and mobile outreach presenters for the spring, summer and early fall of 2008, we find ourselves in the position of not being able to be at the Zooseum more than 1-2 days a week. Although we are no strangers to 68-72 hour a week work schedules, opening the Zooseum on top of this schedule would leave little time for us to be with our five children, so we decided to temporarily close the Zooseum for 2008. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you and your young bug enthusiasts. We look forward to opening again to the public in 2009 and thank you for your understanding and support.

(1) General / Walk-in Visitation - Hours and Admission Rates

• Hours (for individuals and families -- no appointment necessary)

  • Closed for the Season -- See you in the Spring of 2009!

• 

• General Admission Rates (Note: no admission fee is charged for Minibeast Merchandise Market/gift shop access)
  • Youth  (age 3 to 12) - $2.50 per person; children under 3 are FREE
  • Adult - $3.50 per person
  • Senior (60 and up) - $2.50 per person

• *Note: last admissions sold 1/2 hour prior to closing

(2) Group Visitation - Hours and Admission Rates

• All group visits are by appointment and may be scheduled for any time during the week, including  weekends and evenings. To qualify for group rates a group must have at least 20 individuals, or be willing to pay the minimum group fee (see rates below).
• Regular Group Admission - $2.00/person ($40.00 minimum charge per group); approx. 1 hour (10 minute orientation plus 45 minute Zooseum exploration)
• Group Admission with Presentation - $2.50/person ($50.00 miminum charge per group); approx. 1.5 hours (30-45 minute presentation plus 45-60 minute Zooseum exploration; may include time for outdoor investigations)

Choose the category that works best for you:

Individual ($25) - free admission for one year for one adult, plus 2 individual one-time guest passes

Individual Plus One ($35) - free admission for one year for two adults (or one adult and one child), plus 2 individual one-time guest passes

Family ($55) - free admission for one year for a maximum of two adults and up to five of their children or grandchildren (ages 3-13), plus 2 individual one-time guest passes

Family Plus One ($65) - free admission for one year for a maximum of two adults and up to five of their children or grandchildren (ages 3-13), plus one guest any time and 2 individual one-time guest passes

Scouting, 4-H and Science Olympiad Workshops
