This page contains files that YP is making available for download. You may optionally download the compressed version of offered files to further reduce the download time. Some compressed files may, depending upon how busy the Internet is and the speed of your modem, transmit in as little as one to two seconds. All files were scanned by Norton Anti-Virus before uploading to this site.
The compression utility used on many of the files is Winzip. If you do not have a compatible unzipping utility you may download a free evaluation (trial) version from Winzip. Versions of that very small application for Windows and Apple are available on Winzip's site. In any case, the full-sized file is usually offered.
For those of you in Apple/MacIntosh land, the applications used, such as Word, generally have an Apple/MacIntosh equivalent which will read these files. If not, email the webmaster for an Apple/MacIntosh equivalent, as available.

North Central Explorer
Info: Three short rides departing from the Weatogue (part of Simsbury), CT, commuter parking lot. A group favorite designed by the webmaster in 1992 and revised periodically since then.

Northampton Expedition
Info: A round trip from East Granby, CT, to Northampton, MA, and back. The terrain is quite moderate. Another favorite most recently revised last summer.

Info: Two rides departing from the commuter parking lot at the junction of Routes 9 and 71 just south of Westfarms Mall near the New Britain and Farmington, CT, townlines.

Northfield Shorter
Info: A fairly direct ride to & from the Northfield, MA, Mt. Recreational and Environmental Center.

Info: A pleasant rolling roundabout ride to the Northfield, MA, Mt. Recreational and Environmental Center.

Greylock
Info: A scenic ascent of Massachusetts’ highest peak, tucked in the northwest corner of the Berkshires. The route follows the paved auto road to the AMC’s Bascom Lodge at the summit, with spectacular mountain vistas and a breathtaking descent on a twisting, turning paved road to Williamstown.
