This eclectic website contains two kinds of material. The first is related to Amnesty International (see Amnesty) below and consists of letters dealing with particular problems and sent to governments in different countries, as well as bulletins and background material obtained directly from Amnesty International. This section will be updated periodically. The material presented here has been obtained and organized by the Columbia-Laurel chapter (no. 228) of Amnesty and has not been reviewed by the parent organization. The material of this section is entirely unrelated to and independent of that in the second section below.

The second section will contain short stories, art, and occasionally commentary, presented as separate files. Files designated Tale are text files, usually short stories. All material is copyrighted.

The material in this section is quite distinct from that in the Amnesty section. The fact that they are combined in the same Web page does not imply any endorsement by Amnesty of this more personal material or any implication of Amnesty in any shortcomings it may contain.
