Derek Barham Eagle Scout

Derek Colby Barham was born February 21, 1987.  He is a Senior at McMinn County High School. 

He is a member of the Health Occupation Students of America (H.O.S.A.).  For two consecutive years, he has placed third in regional skills competition as a member of this group. 

Derek is a member of Liberty Baptist Church. 

Derek was a member of Cub Scout Pack 616 where he earned its highest award, the Arrow of Light. 

He has earned 25 merit badges as a Boy Scout:

He attended Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico in the summer of 2003 hiking nearly 80 miles while there.

He participated in the Troop 616 National Jamboree and Washington D.C. Tour in 2001.

He has served in leadership positions as Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, Den Chief, and Senior Patrol Leader.

Derek is also a member of the National Order of the Arrow for honor campers.
