Turning Point Domestic Violence Services

  • Education, Prevention, and Training
    Community education and prevention presentations regarding domestic violence and sexual assault. Law Enforcement, Human Service, and Community Organization training.

  • Outreach
    Individual intervention and support for out-of-shelter victims of domestic violence and their families. Advocacy, peer support groups, legal assistance, case management, safety planning and housing assistance

  • Safe Shelter
    Newly renovated shelter has increased capacity of 22 beds. 30day emergency housing for women, men, and their dependent children victimized by domestic violence or sexual assault. Food, clothing, and personal care items also provided.

  • Advocacy and Case Management
    Individualized planning, goal setting, and advocacy provided for in-shelter clients and their families working toward self-sufficiency and a violence free lifestyle. Professional assessment, domestic violence and sexual assault education, peer support groups, parenting classes, legal advocacy and an extensive community network of support provided.

  • Children's Program
    Advocacy, counseling, domestic violence education, school enrollment, support groups and play therapy provided.

  • 24 Hour Help-Line
    Confidential information and Referral, domestic violence and sexual assault crisis counseling, and emergency transport to shelter. Our 800 number does not appear on caller's phone bill.
