Model 916 pH electrode

MODEL 916 - INSERTION/SUBMERSION/RETRACTABLE

The Model 916 is designed for both insedion and submersion applications. The basic sensor
consists of a 316 stainless steel outer body, a reversible 3/4" male NPT stainless steel fitting
 and a replaceable CPVC cartridge.

In its basic configuration, the Model 916 requires minimal access area in vessels and process
piping with an outside diameter of only 0.75 inches. Reversing the 3/4" MNPT fitting allows for
either insertion or submersion of the Model 916 into the process medium.
An optional 316 stainless steel ball valve fitted with dual safety lanyards and required fittings
provides a means of retracting the Model 916 from a pressurized vessel or process pipe without
disturbing the process. This option is valuable for safe and quick servicing of the sensor.

The preamplifier or two wire transmitter is located in a remote explosion proof junction box.
This feature eliminates the costly replacement of the pre-amp in the event the sensor housing
is damaged; provides a means of separating the preamp from the process temperatures which
would destroy it; allows the sensible separation of the measuring electrodes from the electronic
pre-amp in submersible application; and the ability to house the appropriate type of preamplified
transmitter to interface with a variety of different pH analyzers.

The electrode cartridge provides a quick and simple means of servicing the Model 916. No
tools are needed to remove or replace the cartridge.

FEATURES: · Sensurround electrode design · Insertion or Submersion ° Retractable
