String Bean Fritters

1 - 14 1/2 oz can French Style String Beans
1 egg
1 cup flour
Milk
garlic Powder
chopped parsley (dried parsley can be used)
grated parmesean cheese (optional)
Drain the string beans and place in mixing bowl with beaten egg, fold together,
add flour....mix together....add enough milk to make the mixture pasty, but not
too wet. Add garlic powder and parsley to taste. If desired, add parmesean
cheese to taste.
Drop by tablespoon into heated oil in frying pan. Cook over a low-medium heat
until golden brown on the outside...you don't want to cook them too quickly or
the mixture will be wet and pasty on the inside...
I like to serve them with sour cream. My daughter likes to dip hers in ketchup (yech)...
