Berry Blue Shooting Stars

Everybody loves the way this looks (specially the kids) and it's a great, cool treat for those 4th of July bbq's!

1 c. boiling water
1 pkg. (4-serving size) Berry Blue Jello
2 c. ice cubes
1 c. Cool Whip
4 marshmallows (optional)
colored sugar (optional)

Add boiling water to Jello.  Stir until completely dissolved.  Add ice cubes.  Stir until gelatin thickens (3 to 5 minutes).  Remove any unmelted ice.

Spoon thickened jello into dessert dishes (for the best effect, use clear, parfait-type glasses) alternately with spoonfuls of Cool Whip to form clouds.  Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.  Garnish with additional Cool Whip and marshmallow stars.

Marshmallow stars - flatten marshmallows slightly with rolling pin and cut with a star-shaped cookie cutter.  Moisten slightly with water and sprinkle with colored sugar.
