Escalloped Cabbage Submitted by Rustichick
1 TBS. Butter
1 TBS. Flour
1 Cup of Milk
1 Cup cubed Cheddar Cheese
1 small Head Cabbage
1 Cup buttered breadcrumbs
Melt butter over medium heat; stir in flour and cook
until bubbly. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly; cook until
mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Add cheese, stirring until melted.
Cut cabbage into wedges and cook in salted water for 5 minutes. Drain,
and place cabbage in a 2 quart baking dish; cover with white sauce.
Top with breadcrumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Yield: 6
servings.
