CROQUET has been played in Sidmouth since Edwardian times, and Sidmouth Croquet Club celebrated 100 years since the first Sidmouth Open Tournament was held. With a membership of about 100 Sidmouth croquet is still flourishing.

As one of the oldest clubs in the Croquet Association, Sidmouth proudly hosted two major tournaments in 2007. The competitive season started off with the Centenary Golf Croquet Tournament for "A" Class players, and, in September, Sidmouth welcomed the top Association players in the country as they competed for the CA Chairman's Salver, another "A" Class qualifying event.

As well as these prestigious events, there was a full programme of tournaments, friendly matches and social events for club members and friends.
