So how wide is XW? Here's a tan XW saddle compared to a standard Champion & Wilton. These saddles are not only wider at the shoulder, but they offer wider gullets. Compare to the 5" gullet C&W. The tan saddle has a 7" gullet. The brown XXW saddle above has an 8" gullet for very big, broad withered horses.
