General Details

Rushfield House is quietly situated off the A830 road to Mallaig. The house comprises 2 en-suite family/doubles & 1 en-suite double room.  All rooms have central heating, TV's, hospitality trays and ample parking is provided adjacent to house. The spacious garden ground has a play area for kids and a patio area with tables and picnic bench.
The south east facing patio area has spectacular views of Ben Nevis and Aonach Mor ski centre and panoramic views of the local mountain ranges. The world famous Caledonian Canal is within easy walking distance, taking in spectacular views of "Neptunes Staircase" and the surrounding scenery. During the summer months the "Jacobite Steam Train" passes nearby to the house on it's journey up the West Highland Line.  

Location

Fort William, the Gateway to the Highlands of Scotland, is well provided for in terms of road, rail and bus connections. Banavie railway station is within easy walking distance of the house and a local bus service runs every half-hour to and from Fort William. These services are located approx. 800m and 100m respectively from the house.

Food and Drink

A full Scottish breakfast is served each morning in the new spacious dining room. Being within 3 miles of Fort William there is a good choice of restaurants and pubs where other meals can be obtained or alternatively, within easy walking distance, there is the local villages of Caol and Corpach. These villages each contain a variety of pubs, restaurants and amenities.Your hosts, Elaine & John Corbett, will be very happy to advise you on the best eating places and entertainment venues.

Leisure Activities

The Lochaber area is an ideal holiday centre for everyone, both young and old. Hill walking, forest walks and cycle routes are abundant in this area. For the more relaxed holiday minded the beauty of the Lochaber area can be enjoyed by taking the Aonach Mor ski lift to the highest restaurant in Britain. There is an abundance of freshwater and saltwater fishing. Trips can be arranged on request.

Bed and breakfast £18.50 - £25.00 per person per night ( double occupancy). Family rooms £45.00 - £60.00 per night. 10% discount for stays of 6 nights or more. Credit cards are not accepted but you can pay by Eurocheque, travellers cheque, sterling cheque or sterling cash.
