ASTRL Research
Research projects at ASTRL focus on meeting the needs of people with disabilities. For the first two years of development, ASTRL strived to discover the assistive speech technology needs of Minnesotans. To keep our minds clear, we had no particular research projects in mind apriori. These projects hoped to evolve as the speech technology needs of Minnesotans with disabilities were discovered.
As we start working on research projects, we will focus on developing the technology needed to improve lives. Prototypes will be built to make it easier for companies to develop products to help people with disabilities
One need It became readily apparent that ongoing support needs of Minnesotans who use assistive technology for communication were not being met.
