ASTRL Preview

The Assistive Speech Technology Research Laboratory was incorporated as a Minnesota Nonprofit Corporation on July 23, 1999. It is intended that ASTRL will become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the not so distant future. The main obstacle holding us back is assembling the right Board of Directors.

Initial funding for the organization will be obtained as grants from local foundations. As specific research projects emerge, Minnesota and U.S. government funding sources will be pursued. It is hoped that in the future, a foundation can be created to maintain a steady stream of funding into ASTRL.
