As Mike explains...

"I have received quite a bit of email asking why the new album is taking so long.
Well here is the story... I have been helping THE VALVE amp company in Italy with the design of two new amplifiers.
One of these amps you can hear used in the HOLY WARS clip below.

The other amp is a small 5 watt amp specifically designed for studio recording and low volume work. I really feel this amp is going to excite guitarists because it sounds and feels like a large full-blown stack.
It incorporates some new design ideas and finally gives players something they have been wanting for years.....a large tone at low, practical volume levels.
It uses a true EL-34 power tube and can be run at 5 watts down to 0.1 watts....I honestly feel this will become the new benchmark for low wattage 100% tube amps.

I have also been working with Frudua guitars on a unique new line of guitars they plan to call the Legendary Tone Series.
These products made their recent debut at the London Guitar Show and met with great response from players.

On the personal side, my wife and I are buying land in the mountains.
Yes, you read that right.
After 30 years of living in South Florida and enjoying the beaches, SCUBA diving, warm weather, pools and the tropical lifestyle, I am finding that population growth and all the other things that come with heavy urbanization are making us feel different about Florida now.

To put it simply, this is not the same Florida I first moved to way back in the mid-70's as a kid.
It's not even the same Florida I returned to after graduating college in 1985.

25 years ago, South Florida was a tropical paradise of orange groves, fields of cattle and rural settings. Many of the people living here were retired individuals from up north looking for a quiet retreat with warm sun and surf.
Today that vision of South Florida is gone.
The citrus groves and cattle have been replaced with townhouses, endless malls, condos and zero-lot-line housing developments.
The culture, demographics and society has transformed into an over-populated, loud and urban environment that barely resembles traditional America any longer.
In fact, many people now say South Florida is quickly becoming the Los Angeles of the East Coast.
It's a shame.

So the idea of a quiet, isolated and secluded lifestyle on 120 acres of totally wooded forest up in the mountains is very appealing to us these days.
A new adventure.

On top of all that, a recent accident at home ripped some finger ligaments on the back of my right hand.
So for the next 3 months, I have my fingers in a plastic stint and can't even hold or use a guitar pick properly.

But rest assured, when the right hand is useable again, I will spend 1-2 months of "wood-shedding" to get the picking hand back in shape and then attack the studio to get these last few songs finished and the CD ready to ship.
I know I need to finish the CD before we relocate because the studio will need to be totally dismantled to make the move to our new place.
When we build the new house in the mountains, the plan is to have both a gym and recording studio in the finished daylight basement.

The MP3 clips below are from rough mixes of the actual studio recording sessions and are posted here to give fans a preview of the songs on the new album .

Note: These clips are music only as the singer will lay down his vocals at the end.
