The work of the Pythian Sisters covers a broad field. It is not confined to the local Temple nor to the field of Pythianism alone. Pythian Sisters are always ready to assist in civic projects or give help to any needy cause. The altruistic work reveals many hours of service, donation, and charity for others. It is said that it is more blessed to give than to receive and this spirit is exemplified in the work of the Pythian Sisters.
Organized with the sincere desire of promoting the moral, social, and physical elevation of it's members; cultivating a spirit of Fraternal Love which shall permeate and control their daily lives; ministering in all ways to the wants of the sick, distressed, or needy; watching at the bedside of the dying; paying the last sad tribute of love and respect to the dead, comforting and providing for the widow in her afflictions, and the daily exemplification of the golden rule in every possible way.

To be eligible for membership in a Pythian temple a woman must be at least sixteen years of age, of good moral character, and speak the English language.
To be invited to become a Pythian Sister is a compliment of the highest type!
The Pythian Order need not lack for members but only those whose character is such that they can fully appreciate the principles of the order are desired. When you have become a part of this sisterhood and the light of Pythianism burns within you so strongly that each action and contact in your life is colored by it's flames, then you will completely realize and enjoy the wealth that has come to you through your membership in the Order Of Pythian Sisters. We are truely a band of sisters in the fullest sense of that relationship.
