The club is located in Alexandra Park in Parkstone, Poole.
It is sandwiched between Alexandra Road and Palmerston Road.
The club is controlled by Poole Borough Council,
and is run by an elected commitee on behalf of the membership.
Our season runs from April until September.

Public Transport
Trains
The nearest railway station is Branksome.
This is served by South West Trains from London Waterloo,
with an hourly service each way for most of the day.
Buses
Bus services run along Ashley Road and Bournemouth Road,
served by Wilts & Dorset and Bournemouth Yellow Buses.
Being on the main route between Bournemouth and Poole,
there is a frequent and varied selection to choose from.

Parking
There is unrestricted parking along Alexandra Road
and Palmerston Road during the day (9am to 5pm).
Palmerston Road is the nearest to the entrance for the club
(foot entrance almost opposite junction with Hardy Road).
Before 9am and after 5pm the roads tend to fill up
with local residents parking outside their homes.
You may have to park a little further away in the evening.
Please do not obstruct driveways in the area,
it can cause problems with our local council if the parking
gets too bad around the club.

Grounds
There are six rinks available for play,36 metres long,
with a number of competition matches played regularly
in the afternoon and evening.
Visitors and non-members are welcome to come and watch or play.
At present there is a charge of £1.50 per hour
for the use of the green.
For a small fee there are sets of woods available
at the club for people to use (Size 0 to 5).

Disabled Access
There is flat access to the grounds for wheelchairs
and phyically disabled people.
There is an electric wheelchair lift near the main gate
for people who wish to access the clubhouse.
There is a disabled toilet located in the clubhouse.

along the Bournemouth Road which are near to the club.

Membership
Present membership is about 100,
with approximately 80 members eligible to play in competitions.
Membership starts at £8.50 for an associate membership
(eligible for practise & friendly matches and club competitions).
Full player membership is about £66.00
(allows you to play at any Poole borough greens
and play in any area league competitions, if you're good enough!).
Due to some retirements from the Women's section, we are keen to
recruit new women players into our club. So come on ladies
and give the game a try, it's easy to play and good exercise too !!

The club house is usually open from 10am until about 6pm,
depending on matches and the weather !

History
The original club was founded in 1925. The ladies section was formed in 1975. The clubhouse is still there, an extension was added in 1999, giving changing rooms for the ladies and the gentlemen.
Forthcoming Events
Team Selection match will take place on Saturday 26th April starting about 2pm.
Any fully paid up member's can attend for selection.
