The Wiede Family
Johann Friedrich Daniel Wiede was born around July of 1777, possibly in Neustadt (his birth date is calculated from
his age given at death; died Jul 17, 1851 in Weselsdorf.) He married to Katharina Susanna Rösch, probably around
1810 and probably in Neustadt. (This is speculation based on birth place & date of daughter Dorothea.)
In addition to daughter Sophia Maria DOROTHEA Wiede (b. Jan 18, 1810, Neustadt), they at least one more daughter
and may have had a total of at least 5 children counting Dorothea.. Direct proof has not yet been found for this, it is
based on the birth/christening records of Dorothea Wiede Evers children where persons of surname "Wiede"
are named as sponsors:
Lisette Wiede - Knowledge of Lisette comes the from birth record of Dorothea Wiede Evers' son, Johann Heinrich
Wilhelm Evers in 1835. Lisette is named as a sponsor: "Lisette Wiede, maidservant in Ludwigslust, sister of mother
  of child."
Karolina Wiede - Knowledge of Karolina comes from the birth record of Dorothea Wiede Evers' daughter, Luise Maria
Catharina Dorothea Evers in 1837. Karolina is named as a sponsor: "resident workman's daughter in Neustadt, sister
of mother." (Dorothea Wiede Evers' father is twice named as "einwohner & arbeitsmann in Neustadt" [resident &
workman.] ) In 1844 Karolina is named as a sponsor for another of Dorothea Wiede Evers' children, Karl Theodor
Friedrich Wilhelm Evers. On this record she is identified only as "maidservant in Ludwigslust" and could be the same
person as Lisette, but not likely.
Johann Wiede - Knowledge of Johann Wiede comes from the birth record of Dorothea Wiede Evers' son, Johann
Albrecht Friedrich Wilhelm Evers, in 1840. Johann Wiede is a sponsor, "zimmergeselle" (carpenter journeyman?) in
Hamburg. Thirteen years later in 1853 he is a sponsor for Dorothea Wiede Evers' son, Ernst Konrad Johann Evers.
Here he is listed as "zimmermann" (carpenter) in Lubeck. It is likely that he is Dorothea's brother because Dorothea's
father is twice identified as "arbeitsmann" or workman, in Neustadt.
Sophia Wiede - Knowledge of Sophia comes from the birth record of Dorothea Wiede Evers' daughter, Agnes Sophia
Philippina Evers in 1847. Sophia Wiede is named as a sponsor on this record, only as: "maidservant in Schwerin."
