Catharina Maria Magdalena Gercke was the wife of
Johann Christian Friedrich Rambow.
They were the parents of Johann Christian Hans Rambow who came to
America in 1874.

"Gierke" on her marriage record. She died in Muchow on
Jul 20, 1880. She and her husband had 13 children there.

On the birth record of Johanna Brencke, her father Johann Georg Brencke's occupation is named as "der Schulz." Also on that same birth record, Johanna's mother is named as shown, with "geb." Brencke indicating this was her maiden name. On Johanna's marriage record to Johann Jochim Gercke in 1809, her father Johann Georg Brencke is described as "der Amts, Schulz." This is a position of local leadership, either villiage mayor or magistrate, the head of the local goverment in Ziegendorf.
On the marriage record of Johann Jochim Gercke to Johanna Brencke in 1809, Johann is described as "der angehende haüswirt" which may be "prospective landlord." In 1810 on the birth record of their daughter, he is already a "haüswirt."
