Oldham and District Model Aero Club

BMFA Club Registration Number 0342

Arranged Club "outings" and meetings.

Visits in the year 2003.

Geoff with a somewhat 'sweaty sock'.

After a hard day walking the show tents and watching the excellent flying, then this is the ultimate reward - a good dose of 'sock sniffing'. Or is the smell from the nearby bins? This was at the Weston Park Spectacular in June.

Body with no head

I said to him 'don't lose your head', but he wasn't supposed to take it literally.

If you have never appreciated the power in the wind, then get one of these large kites so that you to can get 'legless'.

Even at night the search for that elusive super model does not falter - what dedication to the sport.

Visits in the year 2000.

Barton Bash team

This is the team who put on the excellent show at Barton Airport Open Day in May 2000. The organization was excellently done by Mr. Alan Cantwell, who received many thanks from the organizers and they looked forward to having us visit them again in 2001 !!

Nats. team 2000

This is the "Philip Vandries" supporters club at the National Championships in August 2000 where Philip won the Fun Fly title. Philip is sitting on the front row on the left holding his Certificate to prove.

Southport

This shows the "team" taking time out at the Southport Air Show held during 1999. What a scorcher of a day it was - and what a view. Sat on the beach at the front getting somewhat sunburnt, but enjoying every minute as the full size Tornados etc. scream over-head.

IFO flying outdoors

Is it possible to fly indoor models "outdoors" ? It is at the Oldham Club - weather no problem !! It was not the best of weather, but the Northern Area IFO demonstration team had no problems in the snow. Fortunately there was zero wind and no walls to hit.
