[Release; Richard Harcourt to Micajah Townsend. 1752.]

To all Christian people to whom these presents shall come greeting know ye that I Richard Harcourt of Oyster Bay in Queens County on the Island of Nassau and in the colony of New York yeoman for and in consideration of the sum of five pound of good and Lawfull Current money of New York to me in hand paid before the ensealing hereof by Micajah Townsend of Oyster Bay aforesaid yeoman whereas Benjamine Harcourt and Nathaniel Harcourt father and grandfather of the said Richard Harcourt did come with other lands in the township of Oyster Bay two lots of land and a dwelling house near the East End of the town of Oyster Bay unto the said Micajah Townsend in fee simple which five lots the said Micajah Townsend conveyed to Joseph Simson sale of Oyster Bay merchant and the said Simson conveyed the same to Jacob Franks merchant in the City of New York and the said Jacob Franks conveyed the said house and two lots to the said Richard Harcourt who is now in posession of the same and where as the said land is intaled or in feetale for the consideration aforesaid and for divers other causes and considerations I the said Richard Harcourt have and do by those presents releas and Discharge the said Micajah Townsend Joseph Simson and Jacob Franks and each and every of their heirs executors and administrators from Defending the said house and two lots of against the intale or from defending the same against the said against the said Richard Harcourt his heirs executors or administrators or any other person or persons whatsoever claming or that shall clame from by or under him the said Richard Harcourt by reason of the said intale in witness whereof I the said Richard Harcourt have hereunto let my land and seal this foreteenth day of January anno domini one thousand seven hundred and fifty two.
