[Moses Owens is bound to Micah Townsend, both of Westchester County. 1776.]

Know all Men by these Presents that I Moses Owen of the White Plains in the County of West Chester and Colony of New York Yeoman am held and firmly bound unto Micah Townsend of the same Place Attorney at Law in the just and full sum of one hundred & forty seven Pounds three shillings & 2d current Money of New York to be paid To the said Micah Townsend his certain Attorney his Executors Administrators or Assigns For which Payment well and truly to be made I bind myself my Heirs Executors and Administrators firmly by these Presents Sealed with my Seal Dated the thirteenth Day of March in the Year of our Lord 1776 The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bound Moses Owen his Heirs Executors or Administrator do & shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the above - named Micah Townsend his certain Attorney his Executors Administrators or Assigns the just and full sum of seventy three Pounds eleven shillings & seven pence - like Money aforesaid and the lawful Interest thereof on or before the ninth Day of August next ensuing the Date hereof without Fraud or further Delay then this Obligation to be void or else to be and remain in full force and virtue.
