Peter seems to me to be the Apostle of HOPE Paul of FAITH and John of LOVE
Four times in this epistle does Peter mention Hope
1:3 a living hope 1:13 a steadfast hope 1:21 our hope is inGod 3:15 give account of the hope
The reason he is encouraging us to Hope is because there is much suffering. Sixteen times the word suffering or its equivulent is mentioned six times of the Lord's sufferings and ten times of the believers suffering.
Another important word is "grace" occuring eight times.
There are six names given to Christ in this epistle

1 Peter, apostle of Jesus Christ, to the sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
