When Jesus came. When Jesus Christ came to this planet, He came to dwell and walk here in it, Love brought Him here to save mankind, They were so sinful, lost, and blind.
I see the Saviour lifted high Upon a cross of shame, to die, It was our sins that took Him there, That we might in His glory share.
He paid sin’s price when on the tree, That those in bondage might be free; He cried, “tis finished”, then He died, So sinners can be justified.
I now peruse the empty tomb, And cannot see him through the gloom, But angels shining, tell me clear, My Lord is risen! “He’s not here”.
The Lord arose on the third day, On Olive’s Mount, we hear Him say, “Go preach the word, throughout the earth, So they’ll believe and gain new birth”.
My Lord is now at God’s right hand, It is fulfilled, what God has planned; All creatures soon will bend the knee, With kings and rulers prostrate be.
I wait the time, when Christ will come, And take His blood-bought people home; The clouds will part, I’ll see His face, And dwell in that most glorious place.
So then forever with my Lord, I’ll join in heaven’s sweet accord; Then through eternity I’ll raise, With angels choirs, my song
