Pixel Witch

To make this witch all
you need is PSP.
1. Open a
Transparent canvas of 200 X 200 pixels. Flood fill
with white and make a second raster layer. This is
the layer that we will be drawing on so make sure it is
the active layer by clicking on it.
2. Draw the
outline of your witch. And please remember to save
often!
These are the colors
that I chose, but feel free to choose your own.
Clothes: #6B097D
Hair: #854D17
Skin: #2B5147
Broom handle: #854D17
Broom bristles: #53390F
Boots: #000000

3. Pick the flood
fill tool (bucket) and fill in your witch.
These are the colors
that I choose:
Clothes: #D2A5BD
Hair: #CC582F
Skin: #C3D1C7
Broom handle: #A0632B
Broom bristles: #A8674E
Boots: #808080
NOW FOR THE SHADING
4. With your
magic wand select the peak of her hat.
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = 2
Horizontal = 1
Opacity = 85
Blur = 6
Shade = #6BO97D
Deselect.
5. With your
magic wand select the rim of her hat.
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = -1
Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 85
Blur = 6
Shade = #6B097D
Deselect.
6. With your
magic wand select the top of her cape.
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = -1
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 85
Blur = 10
Shade = #6B097D
Deselect.
7. With your
magic wand select the underneath of her cape.
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = -1
Opacity = 75
Blur = 5
Shade = #6B097D
Deselect.
8. With your
magic wand select her dress.
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = -3
Opacity = 60
Blur = 14
Shade = #6B097d
Keep selected and apply
a second cutout.
With these settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 3
Opacity = 70
Blur = 18
Shade = #6B097D
Deselect.
9. With your
magic wand select brush end of the broom.
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 1
Opacity = 95
Blur = 10
Shade = #53390F
Keep selected and apply
a second cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = -1
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 95
Blur = 15
Shade = #53390F
Deselect.
10. With your
magic wand select all of the broom handle (Hold down the
sift key to select more than one area at a time)
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = -1
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 90
Blur = 3
Shade = #53390F
Deselect.
11. With your
magic wand select the left shoe. (your left)
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 1
Opacity = 90
Blur = 7
Shade = #000000
Deselect.
12. With your
magic wand select right shoe (your right).
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = -1
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 90
Blur = 7
Shade = #000000
Deselect.
13. With your
magic wand select her hand.
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 80
Blur = 5
Shade = #2B5147
Deselect.
14. With your
magic wand select her face.
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 1
Opacity = 80
Blur = 5
Shade = #2B5147
Deselect.
15. With your
magic wand select her hair.
Selections > Float
> Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
With these settings:
Vertical = -3
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 50
Blur = 5
Shade = #854D17
Keep selected and apply
a second cutout.
With these settings:
Vertical = 3
Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 50
Blur = 5
Shade = #854D17
Deselect.
Now, draw in her
features.
for her mouth and eye I
used #2B5147
and for the inside of her eye I used #000000 for the
pupil and #E5E5E5 for the white of the eye.

I also added some lines
to here hair using #854D17,
and also to the broom bristles using #53390F.
Save as a psp. file for
future use!
