OK, we are going to make this cute tortoise!!
All you need is
PSP!
1. Open a transparent image of 120wide and 100
depth.
2. Using
color #773F15 draw the shell:

Using color #B39175 draw the body parts.... (I have
colored them in red so that you can see them better!!)
4. Using
color #965E34 draw the under shell.... (again I have
colored it in red so that you can see it better!)
5. Select
inside each part of the shell with the magic wand by
holding down the shift key and clicking in each
section and fill with color #9D5C2D.
6. Select
inside each part of the body (including the tail) in
the same way and fill with color #F4DB6.
7. Select
inside each part of the under shell and fill with
color #BB763F.
This is what we have so far:
To make life a little bit easier, I have given each
section a reference No. as in this image:
8. Using your
magic wand, select sections 16 and 17.
Selections > Float.
Effects >3D effects > Cutout
With these
settings:
Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 1
Opacity = 70
Blur = 3
Shade #B39175
Apply cutout again
using:
Vertical = -1 (minus 1)
Horizontal = -1
(minus 1)
Opacity = 50
Blur = 3
Shade # same
9. Select section No. 15.
Selections > Float.
Effects >3D effects > Cutout
With these
settings:
Vertical = 2
Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 60
Blur = 3
Shade #AD8466
Deselect.
10. Select area
No. 18.
Selections >
Float. Effects >3D effects > Cutout
With these
settings:
Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 100
Blur = 5
Shade #976C4D
Deselect.
11. Select No. 22.
Selections >
Float. Effects >3D effects >
Cutout
With
these settings:
Vertical = 2
Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 60
Blur = 3
Shade #AD8466
Deselect.
12. Select area
No. 14,
Selections
> Float. Effects >3D effects
> Cutout
With
these settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal
= 0
Opacity =
100
Blur = 8
Shade
#B39175
Deselect.

Select No's. 19, 20 and 21 altogether,
Selections
> Float. Effects >3D
effects > Cutout
With
these settings:
Vertical = -2 (minus 2)
Horizontal
= 0
Opacity
= 65
Blur =

Shade
#965E34
Deselect.
14.
Select No. 1.
Selections
> Float. Effects >3D
effects > Cutout
With
these settings:
Vertical = -2 (minus 2)
Horizontal
= 0
Opacity
= 75
Blur
= 3
Shade

Deselect.

Select No. 2.
Selections
> Float. Effects
>3D effects > Cutout

these settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal
= -1 (minus1)
Opacity
= 75

Deselect.
16.
Apply the following to section
No's 3 4 and 5 BUT ONE AT A
TIME... NOT ALL IN ONE GO!!
Selections
> Float. Effects
>3D effects > Cutout
With
these settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal
= 0
Opacity
= 100
Blur
= 5
Shade
# same as before.
17.
Select section No. 6.
Selections
> Float.
Effects >3D effects
> Cutout
With
these settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal
= 1
Opacity
= 100
Blur
= 5
Shade
# same as before.
18.
Select section No. 13.
Selections
> Float.
Effects >3D
effects >
Cutout
With
these settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal
= 1
Opacity
= 100
Blur
= 3
Shade
# same as before.
Deselect.
19.
Apply the
following to
section No's. 9 10
11 and 12....
Again, one at a
time!!
Selections
> Float.
Effects >3D
effects >
Cutout
With
these
settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal
= 0
Opacity
= 100
Blur
= 4
Shade
# same as
before.
Deselect.
Apply
the same
cutout to
sections No. 8
but change
blur to 3.
Then
apply same
cutout just
used to
section No. 7
but change the
opacity to 65.
20.
Add a new
layer and draw
in the eye
using color
#9D7557, black
for the eye
and white for
the erm, white
I guess!! lol.
21.
Select the
black bit of
the eye with
your magic
wand and add a
new layer. Add
on a white
pixel like
this:
add
a gaussian
blur of 0.7
Merge
layers, crop
and save as a
gif.
Now
you are
finished!!
WELL
DONE!!
