All you need to make this pretty robin
is PSP, and as normal, patience!!
1. Open image 170 x 170 and fill
with a light gray (this is so we can see the details.)
Add new layer.
2. With your paintbrush tool set
to size one, draw the outline as follows......
Draw the redbreast using color #CE4714

For the beak use color #4D361B

For the body outline use color #603B21

For the lower breast area use color
#9A9378
(I have put this in blue so you can see it better!!)

and finally, for the leg use #8A673C

4. Select the back area with the
magic wand and fill with 8A673C.

settings:

Horizontal = -2 (minus 2)
Opacity = 90
Blur= 10
Shadow color = #603B21
apply cutout again using these
settings:

Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 100
Blur= 22
Shadow color = same color.
5. Select inside of leg and fill
with #C08C4E.
Selections > Float.
Effects > 3D effects > cutout
using these settings:
Vertical = -1 (minus 1)
Horizontal = -2 (minus 2)
Opacity = 100
Blur= 3
Shadow color = #8A673C
apply cutout again using these
settings:
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = -2 (minus 2)
Opacity = 100

Deselect.
6. With the magic wand, select ALL
of the white breast area (including the bit under the
tail!) and fill with color #D6DBBE

settings:

Horizontal = 5
Opacity = 100
Blur= 9
Shadow color = 9A9378
Apply cutout again using these
settings:

7. With the magic wand, select
inside of the beak area and fill with #664A26

Effects > 3D effects > cutout, using these
settings:
Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 0

Shadow color = #48331A
Deselect.
8. Add a new layer and draw in
the eye using black, like this:

Select the eye with magic wand and add new layer......
Using white draw this:

Apply Gaussian Blur at 0.7 and
deselect.
9. Add a new layer and with
color #A1AE9C, draw these bits.. (next two
pictures!)
They don't have to be the same as mine but I put in the
numbers best I could just in case!

Then apply a guassian blur of 0.7
You can merge now if you wish but make sure you hide the
first layer (grey background!!).
Add a new layer and using color
#53331B draw similar to this:

Apply a Gaussian Blur of 1
Hide or delete first (gray) layer and then merge.
Save as PSP image.
You are now the proud owner of a
little robin redbreast!!
