1.  Open a transparent canvas of 150 x 150 pixels.  Fill with white and create a second layer.  This is the layer we will be drawing on so make sure it is the active layer by clicking on it.

2.  Pick your paintbrush tool, set at size one and draw the outline by following the picture.  These are the colors that I used but feel free to choose your own:
Body #623826  Nose #000000  Collar #626938

(I have used blue instead of the black so you can see)

3.  Pick your flood fill tool and making sure that the 'sample merged' box is checked and fill in your outline.  These are the colors that I used but feel free to choose your own:

Body #DAA896  Patch/ears/muzzle #A6603E
Nose/eyes #404040  Collar #878863  tongue #D2554C

NOW FOR THE SHADING

4.  Pick your magic wand and select the head.

Selections > Float > Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
with these settings:

Vertical = 4
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 75
Blur = 10
Shade: #A6603E

Deselect.

5.  Pick your magic wand and select the body.

Selections > Float > Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
with these settings:

Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 75
Blur = 10
Shade: #A6603E

Apply a second cutout changing:

Vertical = 0
Horizontal = -1

Deselect.

6.  Pick your magic wand and select the back left leg (your left).

Selections > Float > Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
with these settings:

Vertical = 0
Horizontal = -3
Opacity = 90
Blur = 9
Shade: #A6603E

Deselect.

7.  Pick your magic wand and select the back right leg (your right).

Selections > Float > Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
with these settings:

Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 3
Opacity = 90
Blur = 9
Shade: #A6603E

Deselect.

8.  Pick your magic wand and select the left ear (your left).

Selections > Float > Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
with these settings:

Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 50
Blur = 9
Shade: #623826

Deselect.

9.  Apply the same cutout to the right ear (your right) changing:

Horizontal = -2

10.  Pick your magic wand and select the muzzle.

Selections > Float > Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
with these settings:

Vertical = 2
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 70
Blur = 6
Shade: #623826

Deselect.

11.  Pick your magic wand and select the collar.

Selections > Float > Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
with these settings:

Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 80
Blur = 4
Shade: #626938

Apply a second cutout changing:

Horizontal = -2

12.  Create a new layer and with your pen tool, draw in a patch by following the picture.  I used colour #A6603E and fill with #A6603E

13.  Pick your magic wand and select the patch.

Selections > Float > Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
with these settings:

Vertical = -1
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 75
Blur = 9
Shade: #a6603E

Deselect.

14.  Got to Layers > Merge > Merge down.

Delete the bottom layer (the one we filled with white) and save as a .psp file for future use.
