Subj: Farrier Question My mare fox trots, but often breaks into a hard trot, especially if
she starts trotting fast. (Though that is not necessarily when she hard
trots.) I use her for trail riding. What would be the correct angles for
her? Are plain shoes the correct choice? Thank you. ANSWER: IF A HORSE IS FOX TROTTING AND GETS TOO FAST TO HOLD THE FOX TROT YOU NEED TO SLOW HER BACK DOWN. THEN IF SHE IS STILL TO TROTTY YOU CAN CHECK THE ANGLE ON HER. Keith |
