The bad news about the Photographic Competition in 2007 is that there were fewer entries this year. There was a total of 21 prints submitted, about 10 fewer than last time.
The good news is that the quality of the entries was excellent, and there was little to choose between a substantial number of the prints.
The winning entry was submitted by Ken Airey, who also was awarded the Society's shield for this event. The second place was shared jointly be Ken Edwards and Les Gibbons, and the third was awarded to Edna Thompson.
We congratulate these, and give our thanks to all the other members who submitted photographs, and contributed to a colourful display at the AGM.
Also on display were some splendid fuchsia greetings cards that were produced by Les Gibbons, the proceeds of which were donated to MEFS. Needless to say, they were soon snapped up by the members. We thank Les for this kind and welcome donation.
