This is a foundation course aimed at beginners and technical staff, and presents the fundamental features of MultiValue systems. The course is suitable for anyone who will go on to work in a technical role such as operations and support staff, programmers and analysts. This Course is suitable for anyone working on: jBASE Reality mv·BASE Power95 R83 and generic MultiValue systems. Although the general principles may be the same, this is not suitable as an MB-Master Self-Tuition Course on non-generic systems, such as UniVerse, UniData, Prime and Advanced Revelation, without considerable support and guidance from the System Manager or on-site personnel Prerequisites: No computer ability is assumed, but participants will derive greater benefit from the course if they have had some experience of commercial and business practice and if they are computer literate Contents: We cover the essential features of the Pick system: Logging on and off The concepts of accounts, files and items The Pick tools Access TCL Procs The Editor Basic Runoff The basic operational duties Handling common problems Writing and executing simple Basic programs The spooler Some of the applications packages which are frequently encountered Printed version:
