This is a programming foundation course aimed at technical staff and anyone who needs to write and to maintain programs in Basic. The course is suitable for those who will be using Basic, Data/Basic, Info/Basic and other dialects of the language on MultiValue systems This Course is suitable for anyone working on: jBASE Reality mv·BASE Power95 R83 and generic MultiValue UniData Ultimate Universe systems. Prerequisites: A familiarity with MultiValue systems, files and items to the level reached on the introductory course PICK1: Starting Pick. We do not assume that the participant has any experience in writing computer programs in any other language Contents: We cover the essential features of the language: The structures The statements The functions Internal and external subroutines File-handling ... and we look at aspects of structured and modular programming.
