This is a foundation course aimed at beginners and technical staff who are new to Advanced Pick / D³. This course presents the fundamental features of Advanced Pick / D³ and is suitable for those who will go on to work in technical roles such as operations and support staff, programmers and analysts This Course is suitable for anyone working on Advanced Pick and D³ systems. Prerequisites: No computer skills are assumed, but participants will derive greater benefit from the course if they have had some experience of commercial and business practice and if they are fairly computer literate Contents: We cover the essential features of Advanced Pick / D³: Logging on and off The concepts of user-ids, master dictionaries (accounts), files, items, attributes and values The Advanced Pick / D³ tools The AQL query language TCL The TCL stacker Macros and menus and paragraphs The phantom processor The Update Processor The Output Processor Writing and executing simple Basic programs Some basic operational duties The spooler and some of the applications packages which are frequently encountered There is supplementary material on the advanced features of the Update Processor and file indexing Printed version:
