The following courses cover various aspects of the Advanced Pick & D³ system:

• AP3: Running your D³ system

This course is aimed at anyone who will be responsible for the day to day running of an Advanced Pick / D³ system, possibly in an operational rôle or as Systems Manager or Systems Administrator

This Course is suitable for anyone working on Advanced Pick and D³ systems.

Prerequisites: We assume a familiarity with Advanced Pick / D³ to the level reached on either of the foundation courses AP1: Moving to D³ or AP2: Starting D³.

Participants will derive greater benefit from the course if they have had some practical experience in operational aspects of the system and are already familiar with the nature of the systems management duties

Contents: We cover the more fundamental tasks to be performed by anyone with an operational responsibility for Advanced Pick / D³:

• Switching the system on and off

• Checking and resetting the system parameters

• Creating accounts

• Monitoring and resizing files

• Creating logon Procs

• Living with the spooler

• Using the backing storage devices

• Saving and restoring data

• Looking at the file statistics

• Access & the Query Languages

• Basic programming

• General MultiValue Topics and

• Introductory Pick & MultiValue
