Chapter 8: Communications
The Directorate uses a variety of media with which to
communicate with its members. One of these, of course, is
the Directorate web page. Another popular method is the
Emperor's Hammer Message Boards, on the Directorate
Forum. Many members also use instant messengers, such as
ICQ, AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Messenger, and others.
One of the primary means of communication is IRC, or
Internet Relay Chat. IRC Clients can be downloaded in
many places online; one of the most commonly used is mIRC
(http://www.mirc.coom). The Emperor's Hammer maintains
several channels on the Undernet network (undernet.org).
The main Emperor's Hammer channel is #Emperor's_Hammer,
and the Directorate channel can be found in #ehdir.
The Emperor's Hammer has a set of established rules for
contact on IRC, called the Emperor's Hammer IRC Codes of
Conduct. All members are expected to follow these Codes
of Conduct while in Emperor's Hammer IRC Channels
(http://www.emperorshammer.org/irc.html).
