  Missing You

Face in my pillow
Tears soaking through
Each morning and night
I'm missing you.
 

As soon as I wake
You're in my head
And the thoughts I take with me
When I leave my bed.
 

Throughout the day
I struggle along
Hidding the tears
Pretending nothing is wrong.


 

A mask I wear
To hide my pain
I try to act normal
Till it's bedtime again.
 

Then back to my pillow
Hugging though it were you
It seems I'll be doing this
My whole life through.
 

Two years of tears
And a broken heart
I'm left with just memories
Now we're apart.
 

I still can't believe
That in Heaven you reside
But take comfort in knowing
Your spirit's forever by my side.
