   Langley Yacht Club is located at the Langley Air Force Base Marina in the protected waters of the Little Back River in Hampton, Virginia. It has easy access to the exciting waters of the lower Chesapeake Bay, offering a wide range of sailing and powerboating activities. The club is open to active and retired military, civilian government service, DoD, NASA employees, and DoD contractors.

   The annual yacht racing schedule culminates with the Tri-Service Regatta, a competition between LYC, the Old Point Comfort Yacht Club (Ft. Monroe), and Norfolk Naval Sailing Association, off Buckroe Beach. LYC also hosts the annual Veteran's Cup, open to all Southern Chesapeake Bay racers. The social calendar includes rafts, races, flotilla/BBQs, and an annual Christmas Party.

   Other active Yacht Clubs in the area include:
Hampton Yacht Club, Poquoson Yacht Club, Norfolk Naval Sailing Association, Old Point Comfort Yacht Club, Broad Bay Sailing Association, and the Cruising Club of Virginia.

   Salt Ponds, Willoughby, Bell Isle, Wallace's, Southall, Bluewater, Marina Cove, and Dandy Haven.
