Dear Langley Yacht Club Member . . .
Ahoy Boaters!
Spring is here and the Langley Yacht Club has started our spring preparations with our first get together. If you missed our meeting at the Texas Steakhouse you missed a nice meal and a lot of good fellowship. Everyone is getting excited about our better weather just around the corner.
We're also in the midst of our membership renewals, so if you haven't sent in your dues renewal for 2008, now would be a good time to do that. Since the marina is fully open now, we want to encourage the maximum number of members - power boaters, sail boaters, and folks who might not currently have a boat, but would like to get more involved with boating activities on our end of Chesapeake Bay. We have members and interests for everyone and families are encouraged to participate.
Our next group activity will be the spring sock burn and picnic April 12th. More information will be forthcoming on that as we determine how many people and boats may be able to participate.
Take care and don't overdo it in those spring boat preparations!
Remember,
If you are reading this as an eligible Langley Yacht Club member (Active or Retired Military, NASA, or government contractor) who hasn't joined the club yet, why not look over the rest of our great web site, and then contact us about membership? We want to keep the 50+ year tradition of the Langley Yacht Club alive and we need you! You don't have to be a "yacht" or even boat owner - but just be interested in participating in boating activities - power or sail. We have a number of members who need crew and all will be happy to encourage you to take advantage of our beautiful part of Chesapeake Bay to have family fun on the water. Hope to see you out there!
Best Regards, Paul Roth Commodore
