THE STREAM


     Our Time Bank Project flows
     Washing away the old obstacles
     Sadness, prejudice, poverty, despair

     Like a stream we flow together
     Gathering our friends as we go
     Mary    Nora    Kathy    and    Flo

     Streams flowing into streams
     Like our lives have flown
     Into deeper waters, refreshing, warm

     Collecting friends and sharing thoughts
     Laughing, loving, being happy
     Remembering joy

     We are the guardians
     We are the sentries
     We are the protectors

     We are the stream.

Come just as you are,
for you'll be accepted
The welcome's sincere,
The smiles unaffected.

It's never too late to learn a new skill
Have fun with whatever appeals to you.
Maybe crafts or belly-dancing would fit the bill!
Try something you never could do!

Which culture is friendship?
What colour is laughter?
We're one family
And we learn from each other.

Oh, Third Age Project
You have given me the respect
When I arrive at your door
I start to feel better more and more
The smiling faces of the people
Make me more and more humble
The Peace and serenity inside
Increases my thought and insight.
The greetings from volunteers and staff
And there is no sign of bluff
When I look up and see the Angels
My inward eye opens up with heavenly smells

Oh my dear Third Age Project
I cannot but live with more prospect
I wish your day by day prosperity
With full meaning of heavenly peace and serenity.

T.A.P. What is it? Is it a dance?
Is it a Tango at Park?
No - No- No, you fool
Haven't you heard of it?
It's called Third Age Project.
Oh - yes, is it for people like you and me?
Yes my dear.

I am going to tell the story to you.
Its birthplace in Crypt Centre, Munster Square
Ten years ago - 1997
Since then it is growing and growing
Like Banyan tree.
The people who come here, all feel free
Like we do, you and me.

Here you learn lots of things
You never before had a choice to try
Poetry, Pottery, Drama, Keep Fit, Tai Chi,
Darts and Arts and Crafts
These bring you pleasure and happiness
You lose nothing but you gain love and friendship
All the people say

Only a handful of people happened to be here ten years
Edna, Jean, Kathy - the three musketeers
who can tell the story.
Many happy returns T-A-P.
The truth is, we always with you want to be.
Our good wishes on your Aluminium Anniversary
You are ten years old

At home very bored.
Saw a friend, who told me
About the wonderful project
The Third Age.
Now full of life.
Poetry, Drama, Pottery, Jewellery
My life now filled.
Cannot view life without
You, Dear Third Age.
Made great friends.
(Priceless.)
