BITHI DAS READS:

This is our translation of Heeron's wonderful poem.

Breezes of blue spring

Fills my heart with dreams

I could be in love

My heart and soul seems

In the shore of the sea

Silent wave touching wave

Locked in the cage

Of love I shiver again

Again Again

The music of our hearts

The chiming of my soul

Tunes known and unknown

Spring, sing, ring, roll

To the limit of my happiness alone

I die then

PATSY FUTATSUGI READS:

This is my own free translation of Heeron's poem,
based on Bithi's literal translation.

IN THE CAGE OF LOVE

I become captive

It fills my soul

Of a happy dream

You looking at me

And I'm looking at you

I feel so happy

That a shiver runs over my body

Only I feel to die for this happiness.

It goes beyond any reason

I want my heart to miss

So that my mind will sing.

SERAJUL ISLAM MOLLA READS:

Oh, Third Age Project

You have given me the respect

When I arrive at your door

I start to feel better more and more

The smiling faces of the people

Make me more and more humble

The Peace and serenity inside

Increases my thought and insight.

The greetings from volunteers and staff

And there is no sign of bluff

When I look up and see the Angels

My inward eye opens up with heavenly smells

Oh my dear Third Age Project

I cannot but live with more prospect

I wish your day by day prosperity

With full meaning of heavenly peace and serenity

EPPIE CAREDDA READS:

This is a poem by our dear friend and poet
Nora Platt, who died just recently.

Make Life An Adventure
by Nora Platt

Look to the future, don't dwell on the past

Always keep hoping troubles can't last

Remember the good times and friends you have known

Don't be a pessimist, you're not alone

Make life and adventure as you travel along.

KATHY RANDLE READS:

A Child in Wartime Looks to the Future

The war to end  - going home
Living with Mum and Grandma again.
Free to travel - explore
To live in peace for evermore.

Sweets to eat, things to buy,
Lots of fruit; Oh boy Oh boy!

No more second hand clothes and shoes,
All new clothes for me to enjoy.

Back to London; lots to do,
Visit museums and the ZOO!

PATSY FUTATSUGI READS:

THE LADIES IN SAREES

I want to see all those colours
Of the ladies' sarees
As they bathe in the sea
Sarees swirling around

I want to see old ladies collecting
Dung from sacred cows
To use to keep their floors clean
Wearing sarees brighter than any colour I've seen

I'll be seeing ladies in sarees swimming
I'll be seeing sacred cows
I'll be seeing lady builders building

I'll be wearing sarees too.

HEERON BEGH  INTRODUCES "THE STREAM"

EPPIE CARREDA READS:

Our Time Bank Project flows
Washing away the old obstacles
Sadness, ignorance, prejudice, despair

BITHI DAS READS:

Like a stream we flow together
Gathering our friends as we go
Mary Nora Kathy and Flo

PATSY FUTATSUGI READS:

Streams flowing into streams
Like our lives have flown
Into deeper waters, refreshing, warm

KATHY RANDLE READS:

Collecting friends and sharing thoughts
Laughing, loving, being happy
Remembering joy

SERAJUL ISLAM MOLLA READS:

We are the guardians
We are the sentries
We are the protectors

EVERYONE:

We are the stream.
