Origami in King Arthur's
Court
Proportional
Origami
Notes from the publisher
Anyone who can fold a simple origami crane will be able to re-create
the legend of King Arthur -castles, knights, sorcerers, dragons, and all.
Origami in King Arthur's Court is a brilliant collection of
origami designs that brings the medieval world to detailed, three dimensional
life. Following Rozelle's easy-to-understand directions, the reader will
be able to fold a knight, his sword, his shield, his horse, his horse's armor,
his campaign tent, his page, his page's armor.... The possibilities are
endless.
Included are specific models drawn from the legend of King Arthur;
Queen Guinevere, Sir Lancelot, Merlin, the Round Table, the Sword and the
Stone, and King Arthur himself, of course. By combining a variety of the
simple models in the construction set, readers can produce elaborate and
complex castles and towers, including a re-creation of Camelot.
All the models have been designed in proportion to each other, and
Rozelle provides directions on how to maintain these proportions while using
any size paper. Thus, advanced folders can make miniature knights and castles
if they desire, while beginning folders have the opportunity to use larger
paper, which is easier to fold.
