This section includes driving directions for tours of covered bridges.  While each tour was actually driven by the author at some time, often as the leader of a caravan of autos, there is no guarantee that the roads or covered bridges remain the same as they were in the past.  Unless otherwise noted, each tour route was designed for a caravan of cars to traverse leisurely in one day.  Some include covered bridges in states bordering Ohio.

Note that covered bridges may have load limits of as little as 3 tons, and the roads to them are often narrow.  These tours are NOT for heavy trucks, buses or suvs! Some covered bridges are privately owned and may be near to or far from a public road.  Remember to be considerate of the property owner each time you have an urge to trespass to get a better photo or to get a closer look at a bridge.

The author has never been a professional tour operator.  This site is provided solely for the benefit of its readers, including you.  No monetary rewards are expected from it unless somebody tries selling it for their personal gain!  Links can be made to similar tours prepared by others for covered bridges in neighboring states as their web sites become known to the author of  this one.  Professional tour operators are known to provide tours of covered bridges in Ashtabula County.
