the club Our Ice Dance Club at Guildford Spectrum
is committed to the encouragement of any skater, who wishes to progress
beyond the first hesitant steps on the ice and the preliminary tests, towards
the thrill of ‘ice dancing’. In the club sessions you will benefit from
the support of other members, of all standards, in a social and friendly
atmosphere. Our weekly club dance sessions feature a
diverse programme of dances giving, as far as possible, an interesting and
entertaining balance between the easier, the intermediate, and the more
advanced dances, aiming to stimulate gals and guys of all abilities. At times during the year the club
organises various competitions and social events. For our Christmas party in
recent years we have had the pleasure of exclusive use of the ice rink for
the whole evening. The club is actively, and successfully,
involved in the national ‘Recreational Ice Dance League’. The matches in this
league take place here at Guildford, and away at other rinks, At least as
important as the competition, we get the chance to associate with other
dancers in a relaxed social set
