Hartley Programme

The Hartley Morris Men
Programme 2008

The dancing season will start on May Day, Thursday 1st May
at Coldrum stones (our 33rd year), when we dance at dawn [5.32am]
to welcome the sunrise to herald the start of Summer. It will end
on Boxing Day with dancing and a performance of the
Firle Mumming Play in Stansted and Wrotham villages.

We also have a pre-season warm-up on St George's Day see below

Thursday, 18th SEPTEMBER   INFORMAL TASTER EVENING  in St George’s Hall , Wrotham
8.30 pm We will be holding an informal TASTER EVENING for anybody to come along and have a go at Morris Dancing.
It is good exercise and far cheaper than either a gym or evening class. In fact it is FREE.
The evening starts at 8.30pm in St George’s Hall in Wrotham (TN15 7AB). There is ample parking in the
roads beyond the hall.
We finish at 10.30 and go to the Rose & Crown to complete the social side of the evening.

If  anybody wants to learn more, we will invite the men to join us and representatives from Invicta Morris,
the local womens side, will provide details of their practice nights.

Saturday OCTOBER, 4th, TENTERDEN FOLK FESTIVAL
We will be there, somewhere. We won't know where until we get there, but there will be a pub involved

Saturday DECEMBER, 6th,   Wrotham Christmas Lights
This is the Wrotham Village event, a Christmas Market, Santa and us. We process, dance and perform the Firle Mummer's Play
