Recent Projects.....

Welcome to the projects page at

Handyman Leeds.co.uk

Here are some of the projects i've completed for clients recently. This page by no means covers all the work I do, but rather, it includes the ones that i've remembered to take the camera to !
( This page is intended to show the variety of work I can do, and NOT to sound like my head is far too big for this website !!)

Please choose from the following :

A sign of the times
A new porch
New loo
Kitchen fitting

Sign of the times..

Although this example was not for a paying customer I had to include this one, as it was one of my first ideas to impress my boss here at the Equestrian Centre where I am employed part-time as a Handyman. Hopefully it goes to show what you can do with a little patience and very little money.

1.Here's the old sign which was looking rather tired !

2....so I had the idea of trying to create a new sign with no budget to work with (as the centre is a charity organisation ), so I used an old sheet of 1/4 inch ply and painted it with cream gloss. Then I printed off the letters I needed on the computer.

Then that's where the fun started !

.....I spent 8 hours cutting out all the letters sat in front of the telly !
( still can't work out what was on telly from the photo !! )

3....and when i'd finished

4...next, several coats of clear varnish

5...still, I think it was worth the effort.

and finally a touching end for the old sign.....ah!

A New Porch

This shows a project I got asked to finish, although unfortunately I didn't take any 'before' pics. When I started, the brickwork and the frames were already in, however i'm sure the owners won't mind me saying that it had been done badly. There were large gaps between the frames and brickwork. There was no roof, and it wasn't tied to the house in any way.

This was basically a porch that had been 'cut back' to create more room on the patio, and so the york stone roof tiles were already on site. However, they did need cutting and holes drilling in them. The roof was completed with ridge tiles and new flashing.

Then the front was cladded properly, gutters fitted and finally painted.
I did end up doing loads of work for this couple, who were an absolute delight to work for.
( Thanks Toby & Alison )

New Loo

Here's another job I did for the 'porch' couple. I cladded the downstairs cloaks (or loo) with tongue & groove, tiled the floor, papered the walls, and tiled the back of the sink. I'm especially proud of the curved cupboard I made under the sink.

Kitchen Fitting

This is a kitchen I recently finished in Lancashire, which is part of a half million pound property, and so had to be spot on.
