I have had a life-long love of dogs. Doesn't matter the breed or variety, I can find something wonderful about them all. I talked my parents into letting me buy a Boxer pup for show years ago when I was about 16. We had had a pet Boxer when I was a young child and I just fell in love with the breed. After persuading my parents to get that first Boxer, my mom fell head over heels in love with Boxers too. That began a total passion for the breeding and showing of Boxers until my mom passed away 10 yrs. later.

During that time period, I also had the great pleasure of working with breeders of other great breeds: English Cockers, Saint Bernards, Otterhounds, etc. I loved all the breeds, but since we had 6 Boxers, my two English Cockers, and my Dad's Irish Setter, my mom encouraged me to find another way to deal with my passion for all breeds of dogs without adding any more to our household! She bought me my first big box of clay, and I was encouraged to try my hand at sculpting. So the first things I ever created were figurines of dogs. But then I got into doing whimsical miniatures, and didn't do any more with the dogs.....until now.

I am now creating pins, frames, etc. of a variety of dog breeds. Little by little I hope to do more and more of the breeds. With so many recognized breeds, that will take me a little while! I love the challenge of trying to capture the essence of each breed in an appealing manner.
