We held the Miami opening reception for the 14th competition the Friday before Hurricane Wilma hit us in October 2005; I am happy to say the Fort Myers event at the Alliance for the Arts in February 2006 was focused completely on the show: attendance ws great and the public seemed very pleased with the show; many thanks to the staff of the Alliance for all their hard work. For a catalog, just send $2.50 to help cover printing and mailing costs. The juror chose to give merit awards to the following artists: Neverne Covington, Victoria Goro-Rapaport, Art Werger, Felice Grodin, Mikael Kihlman, Jan Winton. and Yuji Hiratsuka. (Congratulations!!)

514 Entries came in for the 14th Juried Competition.

Prints for the 3rd Open Exchange are also posted.

If you are a paid-up member and would like us to add an image or a link to your site, let us know by emailing FLPrintmakers@aol.com. Your membership is good for a year, and you need to renew before we'll post an image or link, or when you want to participate in the next opportunity for members.

Check out the Florida Printmaker's Member's Gallery - on this AOL site we can update it more often than we've been able to in the past. Each year when you renew your membership, we'll add another of your images. From the slides and jpeg images sent in, we'll be curating exhibitions to be shown about the state. We'll also be using the slides, this website, and the catalogs from recent competitions to contact other exhibition venues about the state for other show opportunities. (If you have any suggestions, let us know.) The images are arranged mostly alphabetically, so it'll be easier to find the work of each artist.
