Thanks to Jill for organising the umpiring again this year and for agreeing to do next season. Also, thanks from Jill to all that have umpired this season.
A difficult year for some Camelot teams – injuries, pregnancies and moving, which are hard to cover. Club members have supported each other though and played when they have been able to – good to see.
See separate report at end. We are again in the black and been able to buy x5 new sets of bibs, new skirts (x28) and rule books this season.
We have confirmed Di Kolonko (secretary) to become a signatory.
Hemel league Affiliations are increased by £1.50 / year.
Lost x2 players from LY – promoted from the 2nds.
Post Christmas the performance improved and the team will probably finish 4th.
Re : Gadeside & Turnford umpiring -
C1 will write to the Herts. League to raise concerns about the umpiring standards with the above teams.
We have had a poor year – bottom of the division. We never played with the same team of players. Thanks to all of those who did play regularly and to those that played up.

Herts League meeting May 14th
Cam 3 Div 1 Hemel League 3rd position
A mixed year with the break up of the famous shooting partnership, which never quite recovered. The matches lost were closely contested. C3 won the end of season tournament with the support of C4 and C5 throughout.
Cam 4 Div 1 Hemel League 7th position
A very mixed year and a possibility of the team going into Div.2
Some members will be moving on next season.
Terri stands down as Captain.
A difficult start with many away and a number of new players. Post Christmas games improved greatly.
Cath will stand down as captain.
Madge and Suzanne will take on the role for next season.
Thanks to all the Captains for their hard work – it is never easy.

Are mentoring umpires to be used? (we would like this as it helps us with umpires for the night)

The club would support the proposal by Kath Worrell of re-assessment of current umpires within a set period. The umpiring committee must organise in advance these centres and mentoring, and also, encourage new umpires at all levels and create the appropriate courses when required.
