OCAD is a program designed for drawing maps, which runs under WINDOWS 95+.
The current version is 7, but version 6 is still popular. It has provision
for storing a bitmap as a template behind the map, so that it can be traced.

Now allows a monochrome, 1 bit, bitmap for input: skips posterising and goes straight to brown.
Uses the base map as a model file in place of IOF6.OCD.
If the base map does not give the template path, supplies the base path.

However, tracing the contours can be tedious, and BoxScan provides an
alternative method. The template is first placed correctly within OCAD,
and then BoxScan is used to note its position, provide interactive tracing
and editing facilities, and then "deposit" them in the right position in an
OCAD map. Overall, it can be quicker, depending on the quality of the brown
