Mentoring and Spiritual Direction
Dale Rhodes offers contemplative listening and supportive guidance to those seeking the Way of balance and harmony in life. He journeys with seekers from all walks of life who wish to welcome and to respond to the spiritual in daily life. Applying Taoist, Buddhist and other wisdom traditions, Dale is an especially helpful listening presence to those with deep desires for centeredness in practice, wholeness in relationships, and integrity in vocation.
Dale’s work is enhanced by his professional training with the Enneagram as a spiritual resource. Dale is a mentor and spiritual director, with a Master of Arts Degree in Spiritual Traditions and Ethics from Marylhurst University and a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Mercy Center for Contemporary Spirituality. Dale was a founding member of the Interfaith Spiritual Center when it began in 1998.
Dale teaches T’ai Chi Ch’uan (Wu Long Form) with the permission of his teacher Margy Emerson. He practices tai chi and sitting meditation, and he attends to his own spiritual formation with his spiritual director, colleagues, and community. He finds being carless by choice is a wonderful practice that supports healthy walking in the city and a contemplative speed in life.
Consultation
Dale also provides direction, training and consultation for organizations and groups, particularly nonprofit organizations and spiritual communities. He has a Master of Science Degree in Human Services Administration from Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies and has extensive management experience in mental health and public health. Dale is a Certified Professional Enneagram Trainer in the Narrative Tradition through his teachers Helen Palmer and David Daniels, MD. His formal training also includes work with NLP/Eriksonian Hypnosis/Enneagram author & teacher Tom Condon.
